Mary Lou Smart, practice administrator for Stoia Financial for 22 years before relocating to Washington, DC, is back in town. While in our nation’s capital she was operations manager for a financial advisory firm for seven years.
At Stoia Financial she provides customer service for clients and acts as a liaison between the company and investment, insurance and regulatory agencies. Mary Lou passed the FINRA Series 7 exam in 2003 and has been a Registered Assistant with Commonwealth Financial Network® for more than 20 years.
Her work experience includes eight years in banking with Security Pacific National Bank (now Bank of America) in San Francisco and Manhattan and CoreStates (now Wells Fargo) in Philadelphia. While in southwest Florida previously, she was also a freelance writer and wrote about everything from real estate to life in the Everglades. She holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.
